1st Lt. Brian Brennan ('06) is the Band of Gold Spotlight. Brennan was severely wounded fighting in Afghanistan, losing both legs and suffering severe head trauma. He tells us about his recovery; plus Brennan's father, Jim, and former Tango Co. tactical officer Capt. Ken Boes ('84) comment on this outstanding Citadel Man. Also, head football coach Kevin Higgins comments on the lopsided loss at Appalachian State, and what the Dogs need to do to beat Elon on Parents' Weekend 2008.

Citadel athletes have done well in the classroom, receiving a passing grade from the NCAA's Academic Progress Rate report. Also, the Bulldog baseball team wins on the road in Rock Hill against Winthrop. Plus, the Band Of Gold Spotlight features Stephen Stubley ('93) discussing the 13th Annual Brian C. Martin Memorial Golf Tournament, taking place at Oaks Hill Golf Club in Columbia, S.C., on May 31. Martin died in a car wreck in 1996, and each year his 1993 classmates and more gather in Columbia to raise money for a needs-based scholarship at The Citadel.

Junior pitcher Wes Wrenn is named SoCon Pitcher of the Week. The High Point, N.C., native pitched a no-hitter into the seventh inning in a 9-1 Citadel win over Davidson on Saturday. Wrenn and his teammates swept the Wildcats in weekend action, and moved into second place in the conference standings. However, mid-week losses on the road to UNCW and East Carolina have put Fred Jordan's team in another tough spot. Also on this episode of Citadel GrayLine, Recognition Day has been moved up several days on the Spring '08 schedule. Is this a good - or bad - thing? We talk about this important Citadel tradition.

Wells, from Houston, Texas, led the Citadel basketball team and was the league's leading scorer among freshman.
